How to Re-optimize Routes Mid-Day

Logistics is unpredictable. When a driver breaks down, traffic builds up, or a VIP customer places an urgent order at 1:00 PM, you need to adjust routes on the fly without causing chaos for the driver.

The Mid-Day Re-optimization Flow

Follow these steps to safely inject new stops into an active route:

1. Navigate to the Live Dashboard.
2. Select the active route you need to modify.
3. Click Add Stop and input the new VIP order details.
4. Instead of hitting 'Save', click the Re-optimize Remaining button.

What happens next?

Viaoga will immediately lock in all completed stops and the currently active stop (so the driver doesn't get confused). It then re-calculates the most efficient path for all remaining stops, seamlessly inserting the new VIP order where it makes the most geographical sense.

The driver's mobile app will instantly sync the new route plan, and they will receive a push notification alerting them of the itinerary change.
